Woke Up This Morning

Woke up this morning not in New Jersey! We are in Montpelier, OH. Next destination is Des Moines, Iowa, another 500 miles West. The Ramada Inn in on Route 15 in Montpelier, Ohio leaves something to be desires, like an elevator and somewhere to eat after 10. I most love all the bikers we pass on the road probably headed to Stugis, SD. More soon, once we have some wifi. Something else the Ramada doesn’t have!
Quick facts: We are about 20 minutes outside of Indiana. I’m typing this on my phone. We are across the street from a church and next to a gas station you can get pizza at. Something in this room is making us sneeze .

just an fyi…as soon as you hit the plains, gas stations are all common eateries. I ate at one every day in SD.
The bikers are most likely headed to camp in the Black Hills/go to the Naysh (Oglala Nation Powwow) which is happening this weekend – good times! Then off to Sturgush…oh the bikes are so pretty!
ps. if you get the chance, make sure to eat an Indian Taco…mmmm fry bread…
This could be another version of Eat, Pray, Love! You are discovering what our country has to offer~including rail service and that’s a brave thing to do too!!

Montpelier — sounds like it should be in New England not Ohio. Most gas stations outside of Jersey have some type of food place. We have gas stations and Subway, gas stations and Dunkin’ Donuts, gas stations with TCBY. Just avoid the bait & tackle places that also have a place to eat. At least I do. Keep on enjoying the trip — stay safe and under the speed limits!
It is convenient! We grabbed lunch today at Subway as we gassed up at the Iowa, South Dakota border!
